Water Safety Campaign

Cheetwood Primary School is working alongside Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) to provide you with information regarding
our current water safety campaign.

Our campaign warns young people about the dangers of open water, and provides advice on what to do if you get into trouble in the water (float to live), as well as what you should do if you see someone else in difficulty in the water (call, tell, throw – call 999 and ask for fire if inland or the coastguard if by the sea, tell the struggling person to try to float on their back and throw them something that floats).

Please find attached a leaflet and poster. Can you please display and share the important safety messages with your pupils and their responsible adults.

We promote different safety campaigns throughout the year. Visit  our website  to see our campaigns and safety information.

At Cheetwood Community Primary School we are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff, visitors and volunteers to share this commitment.
